At milepost 135/4 near Padanyay Village, the chief minister inspected the construction of a box culvert, and between mileposts 138/2 and 138/5 near Kayanthaya Village, he inspected concrete paving and side drain construction to ensure proper water drainage:

On 25 May, No.687 Up-train, carrying gravel along Thebyugon-Kali route on Bago-Mawlamyine Railway, was blasted by terrorists when it reached the milepost of 123/23-24 between Theinseik and Donwun Stations in Thaton Township, Mon state.
